Post Code Thoughts: Flamethrower Implementations
So, I'm curious, doods. What do you think is the best/most practical flamethrower implementation? I'm looking to redo the 40K Imperium flamethrowers to be less laggy and still capable of igniting most targets, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. The wound-adding feature implemented a while back seems like it might have some serious potential in it.

I'd say go for the Lua-added wounds. Also, if you have the burn wounds emit a particle in a random directionthat adds more burn wounds, could create some interesting fire-spreading over the actor and to other actors.

Use that thing and create your own "burned" wound, and as Cave said, have the wound do the special effects (like, emitting fire particles).

In that way, you'd reduce a lot the amount of Lua needed.
