Also after some brainstorming I though of 2 variants for the Missile Sniper;
1. Fires a really fast homing energy blast with a trail.
2. Similar blast like the AAL TIC weapon.

You have a point, uberweapons are cool, but using them regularly is a bit too much for normal play.

Just today I was thinking about some designs for the orbital cannon I wanted to do for AAL (except I didnt get to do anything, family problems) and I remembered the halflife 2 combine weapon. The assualt rifle with the energy ball shot that made people float and go poof.

I wrote it down on paper and saw if it was possible and I think it really is.
I designed a make shift Lua code for it and the GBE might just work nicely with it.
Not so true to the original 70 KILOMETER HOLES design, but still pretty cool and balanced. So instead of terrain rape, it would shoot a small, but very fast energy ball and when it hits an object, it turns white and then goes "poof" with some nice effects.

I hope I'll get a chance to work on anything next week, crap looks pretty grim for me for the next few weeks.

Yeeeeahhhh!!! I like it so much! My favorite effect from HL2 Impulse Ball from combine impulse rifle (I
passed hl2, hl2ep1, hl2ep2 one week ago! Again :grin: )
btw, Orbital weapon name is "suppressor" if i dont forget. Id like combine Alliance and when i started my Blame mod i wishs to made mod where Alliance VS Megastructure (Blame! universe) have war... but its so time-killing process (i have little time to mod `cause i making another game project in my real work) and only "blame" remain :-( In future i wish full convertation of CC to Blame world, modules scenary npc, maps... And here GBE with 70km holes looks very unbalanced :-(
I thought about it and come to 1 solution. In manga GBE had 4 cells with energy, all 4 cells makes full power shot. Lets
think that Killy at the beginning of the plot there is only 1 battery and his gun have only 1/4 of full power=)

Hmm... How about somehow incorporating with the megastructure stuff?
Make a pack of bio-mechanical invaders.
Not sure if necesary, but if to recolor that strider with a black-white color scheme it would fit together with the other parts of the mod.

This mod has some twisted potential as a faction mod. A little interesting mix of things that fit together, this might look really good in the end.

I think what Blame mod must be pure, based only manga without other insertions.
Strider may be used in another mod=)
In blame mod i planing all fractions from original source:
1) Exterminators
2) Safeguards
3) Electro-fishers
4) Silicon Life
5) dry ones
6) lost humanity
7) May Be Govermentants and Builders
And unviverse:
Weapons and tools. Modules of megastructure, scenary and main story from manga with scripted maps :wink:

Tools and weapons:
1) GBE
2) Silicon life armory: SMGs, MGs and other, Megastructure parts (Fan blade, swords, mega-re boards and other)
3) Safeguard: "SG Sword", Heavy GBE, close combat ext. drone blades
4) Fishermen: Harpoons, looted stuff
5) Dry ones: Spears and smgs, Bows

Oh, by the way, I also read part of chapter 1 of Blame!
It's pretty cool so far, especially how the main character (can't bother remembering his name) shoots that old guy in half with a nuke pistol.

But it's confusing how the translator forces the reader to read left to right.
It's just not natural for manga to be read like that.
