Post Re: How2Palette: Gimp Edition
Well, I followed this guide and confirmed that my .bmp's were in palette as they acted weird but they still act weird.
What's wrong with them, can anyone tell?
EDIT: Issue fixed, ignore me.

I'd love to tell how I did it but I really don't know.

If you're having palette problems after exporting a .bmp from GIMP (Assuming you converted the colors), you have to select the "Do not write color space information" option under the "Compatibility Options" tab to make it export I assume as a 24-bit instead of whatever the default option is (CC can't handle higher I don't think). Probably a misdiagnosis, but that appears to be the issue.

I just learned how to do this by dicking around with the options and whatnot.
GIMP is clunky and some features like export encoding are limited but this post should hopefully solve the problems of a future viewer of this guide.

Gimp's changed a bit since I wrote this guide so it may not look exactly the same, especially in 1.8 and beyond. They changed a lot of things during those versions.
