Post Animation Help
Are there any animators out there who would be willing to help me animate some sprites?

Nothing too complex, Just some tail wagging that doesn't look as crappy as when I do it,

Here are the tails. The one I would REALLY like help with is unwinding of the curly tail.

How long do you want the tail to be? Also, what are you attaching it to? Depending on what and how its attached, its going to look creepy no matter what you do to it.

In the little pic, the 2nd and 3rd tails aren't long enough to curl into the 1st tail.

I will gladly help if you can clear up those two things :)

For example: if you made a lizard man (Argonians are great examples) the tail really doesn't move up or down much, since its mostly for swimming enhancement (side-to-side paddle-like behaviour) or for balance while running or walking (to the opposite side of the leg moving forward to better position the center of balance). So you could either just make the tail an attachable and with only 1 frame, or have it move up and down slightly, not wave or curl. The tail would also be about half the height of the actor. It might curl a bit while standing still, can't think of any other time it would curl.

if you made something that doesn't crawl or walk, but instead slithers, flies, or other, then it will look a bit creepy no matter what you do to it.

I did make lizards. They are in my sig. Lizard men is kinda my thing :P 3 tails for 3 actors. I know how to attach and code them. As for the animation, the straight tail just slightly wiggles up and down. Simple enough I could probably swing that one but for the chameleon tail, I would like it to uncurl slightly then tighten back up. I only need an uncurl animation as I can just reverse the frames to close the loop.

The reason behind asking for help on the other two is because I was hoping someone could make a smoother animation for them. I have animated a tail similar to them in my mentioned mod but it doesn't feel very fluid to me.

As long as you keep the first 5 pixels on the base of the tail the same, they should be good. They are already to size and in the CC pallet.

In my opinion, the S curve of the tails makes it look a tad bit weird, kindof makes them look more snakelike than lizardlike. This seems interesting though, i'll try it out and see if I can help you make it look smoother and sprite an uncurl.

The sprites I posted in this thread are the ones that need animated.

The mod is older and outdated.

Are those tails that need help from the newer mod?

Its always helpful to see whats weird about the sprite animation before I do anything to it
