I don't know why people are talking about making it harder, this thing was way tougher than any other scene I've found. Cool level, after awhile I finally managed to beat it on my last life.
Also you've got a cool story behind it, I like continuity.

The scene becomes much easier depending on your dodging skill. The base is set up so that you'll just end up in a bunch of 1 one 1-3 fights, so if you're good at those then the mission quickly becomes easy. Be sure to exploit the inferior AI.

This mission would be fun if the game didn't slow to a crawl after playing it for five minutes. It think it has to do with a LUA script that becomes active, but after playing for a few minutes the game just slows to a crawl for no apparent reason. I think it has something to do with them seeing me, although I didn't test it much. It seemed like every time they made eye contact with me the game slowed.

Look exactly two posts above your own, then add spellcheck to your post and run. Alternatively, buy a flame-proof jacket, preferably one rated to millions of degrees.

Added reccomendations to the first option: read the thread in future, or at least the last three pages.
Added reccomendations to the second option: none, failure is the only option.

Took Rawtoast's version and patched Lua script to fix drop ship spawn errors. This fix removes heavy lag caused by error messages. Also added MOID limiting checks on spawn. Now mission should play as designed.
