hai guize, first map. :-o

first off, this game is ridiculous. it's like garry's mod plus worms armageddon. most addictive thing ever.

anyway, though i'm sure the field-of-rocket-silos concept is probably overdone by now (the silo is the best looking bunker module IMO), here's my take on it. it's fun to defend against the standard skirmish onslaught by launching rockets at incoming enemy dropships.

it uses standard components. i'll revisit it after making some special components (custom backdrops, terrain map, fixed turret emplacements, custom hangar doors etc.)

now that i have scenemaking out of my system, i'm going to tackle modding/sprite making. i'm being taken aback by how strangely intuitive the code structure is (e.g. actor 'health' is not some single ephemeral variable, but instead the actual strength of the joints holding the fella together. neat.)

Wow that actually looks really good (for a scene editor one). I will definitely hope for some more things out of you  .

systmh, on your map (or the game), how did you like, reverse the doors, I mean, reflect them?
Where the dreadnought is placed, in the chamber, both doors face inwards. Are they made by you? or can you normally do that in the game?

<-- My first post!? I swear I posted here before.

adam01 -- that is just the enemy bunker from the tutorial, in comes with its doors already attached. but if you needed to mirror an object, you could just place it in the map editor and open up the code, typing 'HFlipped = 1' after the object's declaration. i think that works.

Then you'd best learn to mod the old fashioned way! .ini modificiation! You're quite capable of making scenes that way. So, if you want to, I'd suggest learning.

This is version 1 of an entire scene taken over by bunkermodules. It's similar to what Systemh had in mind I believe, except it really isn't meant for the current gamemode (base defense) and thusly I am going make a custom activities without spawning, and you have enough money to place one robo within the starting room. Oh and these are all default bunkermods. Basically I was hoping to see a lot more bunker-module scenes in future builds because having to run through hallways, up and down, taking cover behind a wall or box, just seems fun. Let me know if it seems worthy of releasing, but I'm going to keep working on it first.

Mission - You have to make your way through, blast through the team2 doors (as soon as I find out how to change that) and eliminate all the hostiles within the facility.

Background - An abandoned shipping and processing facility from early colonizers who were forced to flee due to constant threats from resource-hungry invaders. This facility could still prove useful for mining operations and the previous owners have enlisted you, a freelancer brain, to infiltrate the facility by way of instant-transit and cleanse it of the mercs.

Making these big images is a real ♥♥♥♥♥... heh. There's a bit more to the map and I'm hoping to fill it out more later on, too. And make it look pretty.
