Lua controlled possibly? Red team on left, green on right. Set each of their goto points to their respectful starting points when you press a key, and once they are both at their point, switch them to the other side. Once they get there, switch them again.

There can be specially made squishy wrestling actors, they shouldn't be hard to make. There could even be lua-ed punches and stuff.

Though having actors less squishy means the fight lasts longer, which is what I prefer.

Soldat, BW isn't about punching or kicking, it is about trampling, ramming, and bashing each other.
So I think punching is a no no, oh, and the wrestlers need to don armor ( the armor's intent is to prolong the brutal fighting, and need to have a low gibimpulselimit ) .

Smithno, you can do better than that use lua to prevent use of the jetpack/walking and make it so that their waypoints are always behind each other. ( If x is above y, y's waypoint is above x )
But the only way to have real fun with AI brawls is to make it so that there are multiple wrestlers on each side... and to enlarge the arena, and place lua barriers at both ends...

Actors don't trample each other like they used to, squishy or not. They just fondle each other, and not in an exciting way either.

Apply a constant force, or make the GIL really low.

Still not going to work. It's just not going to be the same. Actors are more balanced than they were at the time, and far more springy. Right now they are hardly as glitchy as that. It just turns into Fondlefest 2009, no matter what.
That said, I do have something related to this in the works... Stay tuned.

Is it the same thing you left steaming in the Epic Moments Thread.
Oh, and Melee combat would be nice for a change, you know that pile drive, a spartan kick, and punches that knock people over.

If you can just grab a person and do that jackhammer or whatever with them, the match ends quickly. Need some sort of restrictions to make it actually take skill.

Though I wouldn't mind having that if we're talking about fighting infinite AI opponents to the death.

And I still think we need a basic form of attack that can knock back an opponent, i.e. punch.

Perhaps a toned down version of Darlos's punch. It does knockback, but it also has added face-crushing which you might want to remove.

I'll give - yes, a Brain Wrestling gamemode is in the works.
Currently, shoving it's included. As of now, there are 4 moves:
    Head smash
    Body slam/tackle
    Jump
    Special move

What you've seen in the latest image is a special move - of course that's not something that you can just pull off out of nowhere. Everything runs on a stamina system at this point, and you have to lie prone and give up all your stamina 2-3 times before you can pull one off. They pretty much guarantee a kill if you do it right, however.
Also, having done a bit of testing, these moves are more than enough, and act a lot more like the original brain wrestling than I had expected. I'm not too sure a shove is even necessary, although I will be doing an open beta once I have some more work done on this and if people really want to replace the tackle, it can be done.

I love you banana. :D Also, could you make them have some sort of down kick, where they shoot out their legs when jumping?

The tackle stays if it can make the target ( or whoever you end up hitting ) prone, either from the air, or the standing position.

Woottipat, luckily for you, I still have a copy of this. Somebody converted it for me or something. However, don't try this again - if a download is missing, put a request for it in the request forum or contact the original poster.

REad the whole thread next time you're looking for something.
