Yeah, but Cortex Command's a fair way off that!

I feel like a bad father to my mod when other people step up and feed it fixes to properly convert to B22.
LOL.

Thanks so much Bremze. I've got a lot on my plate taking on this Aperture mod package. :smile:

No problem, I just had to change two or three lines, though for this to completely work the changed objects folder that I posted in Gotcha!'s thread is needed. I love this map so this is basicaly a thank you. :)

It still crashes with a problem in "Rocket Pad".

Rocket Pad is one of the custom MATs from the Objects folder from Gotcha!'s mappack. I'll check it later and see what's up. You could try re-downloading and see if that helps, and be sure you have the folder Bremze put in Gotcha!'s thread.

The BMCP also includes Gotcha's new objects (+many more); install that and you wont have compatibility problems with any scenes!

Post Re: Facing Worlds - A timeless UT classic, now for CC!
I would like to try this Scene as I have played the ones that come packaged with the game to death! Unfortunately I have had some problems installing it and would like some help.

I extracted the two folders named 'Facing Worlds.rte' and 'Maps - Objects' into the folder named 'Cortex Command'.

As the .txt file instructed I then edited the file 'Cortex Command\Base.rte\Scenes.ini' in the as follows (addition in bold):
Quote:
...

////////////////////////////
// Bunker Modules!

IncludeFile = Base.rte/Scenes/Objects/BunkerModules/BunkerModules.ini
IncludeFile = Base.rte/Scenes/Objects/BunkerBits/BunkerBits.ini
IncludeFile = Base.rte/Scenes/Objects/Geology/Geology.ini
IncludeFile = Maps - Objects/Index.ini

...

Then I noticed on the last page of this topic that there was an update for b22 and I replaced the already installed 'Facing Worlds.rte' with the newly downloaded one.

When I run CC it all goes ok until I get the following error:

Quote:
RTE Aborted! (x_x)

Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp, line 530, because:

Could not match property in Maps - Objects/Effects.ini at line 1465!

The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

Can anyone help?

Edit:Never mind, I edited the 'effects.ini' and 'objects.ini' so that the doors work in the new build :).

Glad to see this still gets such positive reception!
If anyone wants to provide me with a good code for making lava at the bottom of the map, I'd happily remake Lava Giant from UT as well.

Is there anything different I have to do with this map to make it playable in B23?
I only ask because some people had problems with it going from B21 to B22, and I'd like this map to remain playable to those who still enjoy it.

Oh crap I didn't realize this hadn't been re-uploaded.

I'll fix it tonight.

EDIT: Scratch that. I'm going to redo this puppy. A lot has changed in CC since I released this, and I've learned a lot more since then. Perhaps I can make this an actual CTF map now.

This. Absolutely. It would just be epic. I also wonder if there is a way to put things like double kill triple kill m-m-m-monster kill with lua on this map :P (or other maps... who knows)
