Is there any way to still buy the GNU/Linux version?
I know it was released with the Humble Indie Bundle 2, but it seems impossible to get it now.

I would like to know that too.

I don't know if it's still possible to buy the linux version of the game, but I heavily suggest that you play the windows version of the game with wine.

I'm a linux-only user, and here are the problems with the linux version I've encountered so far:
  • Crappy sound every time someone use the jetpack (so very often)
  • heavy lags when there is too much people on the screen, witch makes on the most appreciated game mod (skirmish defense) unplayable
  • No community-made mods works. Since the game is still not finished, this is very a huge loss.
  • Unstable game, never had the chance to play an entire hour without a crash
  • Crash in a multiplayer game after 1 minute.

It's to be compared with the problem when running the windows version with wine:
  • One of the stick of my ps3 controller is counted as if X and Y were the same axe. So I got to play with the D pad for moving, but the right stick for aiming works right.

I'd really prefer a correct linux version, and I hope it will be better with time, but right now, it's not possible.

i would love B25 for linux since the B24 mods are dissapearing, plus maybe people could make special linux mods with proper capitalisation and all for Cap sensitive inerpreters.

B25 for linux is available the same way B24 for linux was, and B26 (presumably) will be when it is completed, if it isn't already. The latest version is always available from the Humble Indie Bundle downloads page.

B26 sill isn't released for linux.

From what I understood, B26 will be out when they will fix all theses annoying linux specific bugs of cortex command.
All we can do is wait. But I'm very happy to know the dev team is working on it.

As I recall, B24/25 for linux was a shoddy port anyway, and it ran far better as the windows version through WINE.
