The game of blocks falling from the sky has been around forever.
The game of shooting stuff before it hits some other stuff has been around forever.
The game of robots shooting at other robots and then exploding has been around forever.
I don't think any of these have any more originality over one another.

The game of avoiding the blocks that fall from the sky has been around almost forever.
The rest have been forever. falling blocks game wins the originality because its the least unoriginal.

I do enjoy that this thread got significantly more vote-age than any of the other contest threads.

If nothing else the original idea was a success.

Besides, falling blocks from the sky is not the same as falling blocks from the sky with both your legs lost.

It does presents a (at least slightly) new experience.

Like every contest so far, one contestant wins by a landslide (>50%) :D

True, it was 21%, but the others were 5 and 6%, with a few over 10. Still a comparative landslide.

Robot Vs Robot was actually really fun (in my opinion) and it'd be really great for multiplayer, though perhaps with multiple resolution support.

The Reject was interesting, probably the most different from traditional CC gameplay, and decently fun. While the idea isn't original, it's implemented quite well.

Tradestar Defense was, honestly, beset by rather horrible collision issues.

Xextredge contains so much hacky ♥♥♥♥ that I'd love to make available to the rest of you, and will soonish. But uh, for a month long contest I'm really impressed with all the entries.

My personal favorite aspects (from a technical standpoint) are the pseudo-HUD in TD and the difficulty selection in The Reject.

Reject wins my vote.
Tradestar defense wouldn't run, and Robot v. Robot was good, but not nearly as entertaining as the reject.

Alright: He didn't have an entry because he got lazy and never started. Supposedly. Also, that was in the thread as well, so TLB's point still stands.

Xextredge is his entry. It's so awesome, it will break the rules of the world.
