CC is a strong independent black woman who don't need no split cores.
Seriously, she only uses one.

Seriously, the per-core clock is usually higher and the architecture different on higher-end processors

[CUDA Cores are very powerful, but are very difficult to get a grasp of per-system/model]

Hi :) anyone has an Idea on why CC 1.0 was running f***ing well on my high-end computer with windows 8, and now I've updated to win 8.1 it is even very slow to LAUNCH (takes about 3 times longer to launch the game), and almost impossible to play.
(Hardware: 4th gen core i7 2.4 quad, 6 go RAM (i'll upgrade to 8 soon), GeForce 750 M GPU with 2Go memory, and my had disk has less than 1/3 space used. Also made a defrag and registry clean recently with Advanced System Care Pro.)
Thank y'all !

Tried this game again recently on my amd-8350 4.4ghz 8-core cpu and 560gtx and my god does it still run horrible with just a few units around on a defense mission.

I guess we'll never see multi-threading implemented like any other competent dev does, the coder/s for this seems to have gotten slower than toady has for dwarf fortress.

there are ways to improve the game but involves changing a few things on your end, it allows you to set more resoruces to the game but it can damage your computer if done incorrectly..

i tend to run this game on my spare computer and its fairly dated and half of what your computer is and i don't see any noticeable lag with vanilla units and gameplay, so are you running anything else in the background if you aren't how old is your partition? because if its more than two years windows might of already begun to slowly fall apart.

i5 3570k, 6GB ram, GTX460 and this game still slows down when it's a little bit more action...
Seriously they should do something about it. Maybe adding multicore support, idk. If it was possible to add multicore support in HoI2 then it should be possible to do it in CC.

It would require a deep recode of the engine, which is really just not happening when you consider how little Cortex's engine has changed since B22 over 6 years ago.
