I gotta admit I did better than I expected, even with the low number of entries and votes. There's no shame in losing to Major in what was essentially a spriting contest. Anyway, Major also very kindly offered me the rewards of contest. I already own killing floor, so I declined that price and I'm not really that interested in dictating a new theme. I would rather have a theme that draws a lot of entries. So, suggestions please. What theme would make you (a modder) participate? Just to get the ball rolling, I think a theme with less restrictions would be a good idea this time. We've had 2 non-fancy themes, so I think it's high time we had a fancy theme. |

Unconventional Weapon maybe? A weapon that is not used/does not behave like regular weapons of its group. An unconventional grenade could be something that, instead of exploding into shrapnel and impulse particles, teleports all objects within a set radius to random locations in the scene, could be used to quickly get rid of powerful enemies or escape a hazardous situation. An unconventional rifle could be like a periscope with the muzzle offset raised a good distance above the rest of the gun, letting you shoot over terrain. And so on. |

I'd join one of those, you don't necesarilly need Lua and some very cool things could show up. Just grab an everyday CC problem and solve it with a mod. |

Alright, lets get this theme started, we'll see how many entries we end up with. Theme is Unconventional Weapons. The mod needs to be a weapon, that is, something that can kill (or neutralise) enemies and unconventional, that is, unexpected in its use or behaviour. Other than that go nuts! firearm/tool/grenade/bomb/actor/crab, whatever it's all good as long as it can be used as a weapon and is unconventional. |

And the same prize again, but this time, thank Major and clunatic for it; they both wanted the prize from last contest to be kept for future winners, so I've got an extra. Although I don't think I would have ran out soon, if ever, otherwise, anyway... |
