Is there any possible way to make it where Modded Techs/Factions could be used in Wave Defense by the assaulting AI?

Sure! Open Base.rte\Constants.lua in a text editor and find this line...
Code:
rte.TechList = {"Browncoats", "Coalition", "Dummy", "Imperatus", "Ronin", "Techion"};
...and add the name of the new tech.
Just make sure to remove the any mod you have added to the list if you remove that mod from CC's directory.
