Post Cortex Command - with dual monitors?
Hi, I would like to try cortex command with 2 monitors, 1 being for player 1, and the other one for player 2.
is this somehow possible?

otherwise i suppose you could maybe make it a huge res and split the screen vertically.

No, read what I wrote, dual monitors.
And how do I 'stretch the thing vertically'?

I don't know any games that work like that.
The answer is no.

I guess you could consider setting up the dual monitors so that they are configured stacked vertically and then just change the resolution--I dont think you can do that, though.

That'd be a neat option for CC, if you have dual monitors you could have player one's view on the left monitor, and player two's on the right.

It'd be sweet.

Except not everyone has two horizontally placed monitors.

And having the game output in that large of a resolution would make it lag, guaranteed, along with requiring a horizontal splitscreen, a fairly major change in how the game renders.

You could make it so the computer is using the monitors as if they were stacked vertically.

What Alenth said. You can make the machine think that they are. Its relative.

Still goan lag.

You're talking, if you're making the screen think it's vertical, 1680 x 2100. Some maps aren't even that tall, which begs the question of what the hell it would even look like.

Paul, I'm blown away by the density of your skull today.

Those are the monitors, set up side-by-side, but configured so that the operating system believes they are on top of one another. Easy to do.

The blue box is CC overlapping between both windows. Top player has his own screen, bottom player has his own screen.

Haha I like how using real names on the internet makes you look like you're wise and superior!

And uh see I am simply assuming that a nigra rich enough to have a multimonitor setup is not gonna settle for some shitty halfassed halfway screen setup. Plus that'd be ugly as ♥♥♥♥.

I'm not nigrarich, I just borrowed my dad's monitor for fun.
I don't have it in here at the moment, but I just thought it'd be a good idea, PAUL.
Anyway, so this is possible, or not?

That's the only way you can make it work, until Data gets rid of this whole splitscreen functionality.

In short, yes that would work just fine.
