Fix your droppod. Impossible to aim.

Anyone who's got a mac, I need your help if you
want this mod to work for you.

I dont own a mac, I've never used a mac and I dont know how a mac works.
All I've heard is that mods on mac dont work if there are \ instead of / used within the code.

Anything else is beyond me.

So you, the mac user, tell me what happens when the mod load and post or PM me a picture of the abortscreen.bmp picture that is created when a CC usually crashes. Alternatively capture the crash moment with print screen or whatever you mac guys have.

Also any hints what could be wrong are welcome!

People keep bitching about the Marines not being able to aim far up or down; if you just back up or move forward a few feet, you can hit any target. Besides, I'm pretty sure that was intentional; those suits are extremely bulky, the arms wouldn't be able to pivot much higher then they can now.

Oh man, I haven't been able to test yet. I can't wait for an epic match AGAINST these guys.

Pretty much THIS.
It's a balance thing- I like the limited range of movement and aiming because it's realistic and helps to balance the mod quite a bit. Plus, it lets you get the drop on enemy Marines with actors who normally wouldn't stand a chance.

I'm dumb, I meant T-900. It's in Ivan's excellent Bear Federation pack.

This mod is happiness in a computer. The sounds and sprites are excellent (When I first ordered a Slayer, I grinned at the evil that dripped from its voice), and the functionality is good too.
There is one problem, however. On a computer that can handle quite a bit of punishment (I usually get 0.5x timescale with ~8000 particles and ~100 moids), I was slowed down to 0.12x timescale because of all the enemies and particles associated with them that were spawned through the activities. I'm about to try cutting out everything but the MPAMs (I always wanted to gun one of them down without using nukes) to see if that alleviates some of the lag.

EDIT: That helped. Now I'm up to 0.52x timescale with ~2000 particles and ~40 moids. I tried using easy mode instead of death, less spawns. My base still wasn't defensible. Meh.

The tank has an INCREDIBLY hard time getting around. :|

Good stuff otherwise, but I kind of missed an explosive end to the novastar shots. Seemed kind of anticlimactic.

The Novastar's disappointing, yeah. I'm cool with kinetic cannons, but it looks stylized as hell because of the stupidly huge, shiny wadcutter rounds. It doesn't really fit in with the rest of the mod.

This must be a new record. A day goes by and you've got four pages. I've already DLed and am waiting for the game to finish loading. Very nice already though. Glad to hear the TTL is back.

i disagree. the Novastar kicks ass! it kills marines in one hit to the face! yeah i would like to see a little explosion to just get rid of the shell. after while the shells just pile up so it doesn't look too well.

Off Topic: where does the picture go when i PrtScn?

It goes in the pastebin, so you can go into paint and ctrl+v (paste) it.

Not so, if you mean in Cortex Command. It is dumped to ScreenDump???.bmp in your Cortex Command directory.

OT: I'm not sure why everyone's complaining about the NovaStar's power... This is supposed to be a balanced mod. Besides, everything must have some weak point, for I have killed tanks and MPAMs with the NovaStar's cannon.

Theyre good enough and they work decently. Aka I'm lazy.

No, they're not good enough. And admitting this doesn't make it any better. I'm really disappointed in you.
