I've decided to go about updating some of my older mods after redoing the Grapple Gun.

What R it?
It r a laser that jumps from target to target, chain lightning style. It goes through walls and does massive amounts of damage. Every shot costs to 10 oz, but every actor you hit nets you another 5. You need to be close to a target for it to work, charge it up by pressing the fire button.

It also comes with my (almost) very own fractured (zigzagy) line function. It can be found in Jump.lua and is very heavily commented.

Hey, guess what, do think it doesn't cost money to fire bullets?

Bullets just magically appear?

Very good concept, its original and very balanced.
Can be used for other various powerful weapons like bunker building guns and nuke launchers to reduce spamming and abuse(as long as the player does not cheat).

@Bladecat: Think of it this way, if you loose the gun the gun you don't loose [Insane Number]oz you loose only 45.
@Numgun: Lol nice, nearly fell off my chair... Also I should be giving the nice concept thing away to you, the railgun was your idea.

I heartily applaud your wititcism!

Anyway, it's about time we got a nice idea like this! Are we charged for each mag or each shot, though? I think it'd make more sense if it's the mag. It'd be cool to see that incorporated into another mod.

You don't lose only 45oz, you lose an insane amount of money if you ever fired it more than 20 times. Which most people will.

@Bladecat: If you really don't like it, open index.ini, find something called "NegaGold" (Or something similar, I can't remember) and change its mass to 0. (Should be at the end of the first section)
@Morbo: Currently there's only one shot in each mag, but I do think you could make something make you pay for each mag.
@CandleJack: Huh? I don't understand, are you complaining about the gun's name?

I'm saying that it isn't a railgun if it's a laser. Railguns fire bullets propelled by magnets.

yeah, i did a bit of a 0.o at the name too, but this is an awesome concept that should be used in superweapons always. kickawesome weapon aswell.

Quake 3 had a lasergun that was called a railgun. It's just a cool name for a cool weapon. Since when did we go for realism?
