Okay, so this crashes my game as well. Anyone on a mac get it to work? I really want to try it out. I commented out SkirmishActivites from the missions.rte index, and tried it with just doing a multi line comment of the actual body of SkirmishActivities.ini without commenting it out of the index. One crashed before the game finished loading (multi-line) and the other crashed when i started up a skirmish.

So: Any tips?

The issue turned out to be a misplaced line in the GCM(Global Control Module, aka the floating stone).

The offending code:
Code:
i = i + 1

The GCM was made to emulate function injection by using a list.

Unfortunately, the list index increasing code was misplaced, so when the GCM removed a entry, it removed the next entry in the list.

Now, who wants to make a gif?

Um, as soon as I placed the zombies and the first enemy appeared, all of the zombies immediately flew off the screen and the game froze. Back to the drawing board with thee.

Hmm.

I actually never tested these on a map without X warp.

Oh, and mac or windows?

Well, the only people with crashes are mac users.

Sorry.

Okay, i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that someone should address this mac compatibility problem. There are a lot of people on these boards (let alone lurkers) who use macs. There wasn't supposed to be a discrepancy between the two Operating Systems this build, but the faster the differences are identified and addressed the faster we can all have access to the same content.

Also, i really want to play this, it seems really compelling.

I have no idea how to fix it.

I can guarantee it is due to differences between the mac and windows lua engines.

EDIT:
Emergency update.

It seems I should have done skirmish testing too, as the older edition breaks skrimish matches.

I have a problem. the zombies do work well but there is a glitch. i put zombies everywhere along the flatzone (large), then one zombie notices a dropship and EEEVERY zombie jumps towards it creating a Hellofa rain of zombieparts.

Crashed as soon as it touched a dropship, and that was after I made a huge base.
Bad mod.

Which type of zombies, and mac or pc build?

Secondly, it's not my fault for mac crashes.

I do not have a mac, and the code look perfectly fine to me.

As soon as the zombies interact with anything the game freezes up and can only be shut down from ctrl-atl-del

This thread is abandonded.

Please use my LuaTech thread.

Anyway, have you tied commenting out MP.ini or Zombies.ini ?
Please reply to my luatech thread, btw.

Game only crashed when the zombies encountered other Lau objects. Like if they flew into a vortex - poof! Never managed to infect anyone either, but I might have been doing it wrong.
