'k, guys. I have had my fill of Bubble Shields. Stop sending them to me, because they suck. We can't have a whole contest of Bubble Shields.

I want good mods. Not Bubble Shields. Thanks.

So I decided not to :P

Pretty self explanatory:

This involves zero lua code, which means no lag. It's all .ini.

Features:
2 bubble sizes. Large and sucky.
Bubbly emissions when the shield gets shot.
    Popping effects.

I made the mod, sprites (ha!) and all.

Works well against most projectiles, though it doesn't offer 100% protection. Sometimes, rounds will past through it. Also, watch out for grenades. They have been known to get stuck inside the shield =P.

Notice how the projectiles pass around the shield. Don't ask my how that works, but it does. Most of the time.

Take note of all the particle effects and bursting of the shield when it pops.

Maybe I shouldn't have used a gruesome ownage scene to show off the shield. Ah well. Like I said, it doesn't offer full protection. Live shells are oddly shaped enough to pass through the shield on occasion. The shield is designed to work well against bullets, not artillery. Though it has completely blocked an uber cannon shot before (it popped afterward though). [Note: Popping the shield will not make a wall of everything fall down from the sky].

Made this several weeks ago. Its my take on the bubble shield. Yeah, I know its not original, but oh well. It works, its cool (imo), and its saved my butt countless times.

Nope. It's all .ini. The bullets passing through it just kind of happened....

I would take a guess that the bullet enters though one end, makes a entry wound, and the engine is unread for things like this, so it makes an exit wound at the other side, assume the shield is solid.

Yeah, that's basically it. Bullets also just sometimes teleport oddly through MOs. Can even happen with craft.
