Your sprites are looking more decent, but they're still not quite decent yet.
What I would suggest you do is take vanilla sprites and cut/paste them together, with a bit of manual spriting here and there. That will give you sprites that are shaded decently quickly, and people will like them more because they fit in better with the rest of the game.

good idea, grafting, ill try it nextime i sprite, also, contrary is now spriting

Lafe, do you actually try to make your lua code inefficient?
I'm sure I could cut out around 75% of it, and it would work even better.

?
i dident even use any lua in this mod (yet)

Noticed the kill.lua file.
Anyway, here is the cleaned up code for that as an example:
Code:
function Update(self)
   for actor in MovableMan.Actors do
      if SceneMan:ShortestDistance(self.Pos,actor.Pos,true).Magnitude < 1000 then
          actor:GibThis();
      end
   end
end

From 46 to 7 lines.

*Looks more at lafe's code*

Err, lafe, I would recommend learning a bit more about programming:
Code:
          actor.Health = actor.Health

Is one of the redundant nuggets I see in your code.

Oh look! It's another fudged mod from lafe... I've tried being nice, I really have... hell everyone has! I think you know your mods are bad that's why you have provided no picture of your mod to try and fool people into downloading it... Well let me provide one for you! To all those even considering downloading this pixel travesty here is a picture that may convince you otherwise:

Image

The sprites are BAD.
The Offsets are WRONG.
The weapons WILL CRASH your game. [The Combat Shotgun for example.]

I'd go as far as saying even your coding is getting lax. :-(

The best thing about your mod is the magazines that fall from your guns and that is because you didn't make them. I mean honestly... It's nice that you find modding CC fun, hell create all the mods you like, just don’t release any more... PLEASE I BEG of you. I only downloaded it to get a few pictures and then I wiped it from my computer forever.

GET A SPRITER IN or DON'T RELESE any more mods.

You should only release mods if you are truly happy with your work. You cant tell me even YOU are happy with this lafe... Seriously... just look around the mod releases forum and look at the quality of other mods and really ask yourself... "Am I happy with this?", "Does this show the best of my work?", "Will other people like my mod?". If you can honestly say yes then release it but stop releasing mods when YOU KNOW people won't like your work. I mean... People tell you over and over but you STILL don’t understand... either that or you are refusing to listen. Trust me man... this many people can't be not wrong. Your mods need SERRIOUS work.

I suggest you either:

1) Get a SPRITER in to do ALL of your sprites.
2) Go away for a month or two to LEARN HOW TO SPRITE.
3) Keep your mods for PRIVATE use and enjoy them yourself.

For all those who have downloaded this mod I suggest the following:

Lafe is clearly the greatest troll on this board.

Trolls so hard, he even makes mods to troll people with.

That is farther than I will ever go.

A+ lafe. Look at this chaos you have reaped. I salute you, sir.

Why is his head a circle? And why are his feet backwards?

I'd like to know how he got the actor into that stance... arms behind its back and head way out in front... some kind of funky chicken stance...

Is that supposed to be tactical? o.O

Dude you've been pwned. How will you top him? You're going to have to make an entire game with the purpose of trolling.

 Those are... horrible. Even to my standards. I mean really, learn to sprite plz... They are just, very...... not good. Do you really put effort in your work? It can't be that hard to sprite very small images can it?

Err okay. Lafe, instead of working on smaller, unnoticeable sprites like your bearswatter, start working on those that looks worst first, like your biggar guns or your actors. Or start leaving your ego alone and ask another damn spriter to do the job for you, i could easily make your guns a lot better.

This thread should just be closed, or at least moved to mod making. It's clearly a work in progress, one by lafe on his mod, and one by the forum posters on lafe.

I'll go with just closing it.

Lafe, if you think you're ever again at a stage where you can release a mod, stop, and then spend another month on it, this is just getting ridiculous - time and time again we call you out on practically everything you do, try and improve somehow.
