Armored Brain Units for Dummies - Volume 3 (7/03/11)
Image
Introducing the Behemoth! This heavy armor suit provides a durable, mobile, and powerful casing to keep your Dummy Controller safe!
Destroy fiends on the battlefield, like this threatening crab:
Image
All Behemoth suits come standard with an Energy Shotgun and a Rocket Fist, each a threatening weapon against threats on your brain. Each is also fitted with plated armor and a dropship jetpack. The Behemoth will most certainly leave your enemies scarce at the end of the fight. Order yours from Tradestar Midas, today!

BEHEMOTH WEAPONS LOADOUT:

CAUTION: Despite the reinforced armor plates, durability is not indefinite! After 3 days of constant bullet fire, your suit may deteriorate to the conditions shown:
ImageImage
In which case we strongly suggest replacement!

UPDATE LOG:
Volume 1.01

Volume 2

Volume 3 UPDATE:
-Brain version of Behemoth now has a "false head" as in it won't kill the Behemoth to be headless.
-The Behemoth now has a heart (previously shown off in this thread). It lies under the ribcage and is what must be destroyed to truly kill the Behemoth.
-Behemoth now has a "Skullcage", a layer underneath the helmet before the Dummy Controller head.
-Behemoth's legs are redone. Though they look just like they did before, the armor plates can be blown off to expose the core inner leg now. One also animates in line with the ribcage circuitry.
-Behemoth's foot sprites altered. Now look more natural.
-New shotgun sprite (also previously shown off in the thread).
-Rocket fist now has an Impulse grenade-esque AoE component. Really just a placeholder for what I've actually been working on still.

CREDITS:
LowestFormOfWit - Spriting, coding, offsets, animations, just about everything.
zalo and Duh102- for helping me understand some coding and variables, including walkpaths.
ThunderToes - For showing me the light that is the Offset Editor.

As a challenge to those who test, try to see if you can blow off the foreground arm and the front chestplate. It will let you see the neat animated ribcage and spine guts.

Behemoth needs darker BG sprites, and it's on the To-Do list, so I'll leave it be

This behemoth is amazing :D. Great job!

It's nearly invincible. Someone fired an RPC at it, and it simply bounced off and flew right back at the shooter .

I loled at the regenerating fist :P

What exactly is that going to be? Hope its not a dreadnought acrab spawner. :P
Really kickass robot, I hope someone includes it as a boss/rampage unit in a mission.

Hah. I'm keeping Kain for a good while. He's the avatar of this slew of releases.

Yes. A giant Dreadnaught mortar. They won't be ACrabs though. They'll be gib packed shells, hopefully with machine guns still attached for mid-arc mayhem.

As for being in a mission, I gave weegee permission to use this as a boss in his popular "Dummy Ohhh SH~~" missions.

Doesn't the high health effect price?

Anyway, awesome job, waiting for CC to load.

I think it does. But I'm not so worried about price in my mods anymore. People never mine for gold anyway.

EDIT: Anyway, I'm going to go rest. I've been plugging for hours on this guy. Enjoy him all. Toss ideas around here after you fiddle with him!

This is awesome. Totally awesome. I bought a vintage vacuum cleaner today, and I thought THAT was awesome, but this robot surely beats it in awesomeness. The sprites are very well done, and the rocket punch was killer fun. I was expecting it to be mass-based, though. Also, the unit feels a little weak for a giant mech. The limbs come out too easily, and it loses health way too fast.

But the ribcage... that is an incredible sprite. I mean, I would expect to see that in one of those old Megaman games, and not just in a CC mod. Amazing.
