 Assault mech
Hi,

As the title says, it's an assault mech, it is equipped with a gatling gun, a homing missile launcher and a light energy shield, it can move quickly and is quite hard to destroy.

The gatling gun can overheat if fired for too long, the ammo meter represents the temperature of the gun, if it reaches 100 the rate of fire will begin to drop rather quickly, extreme overheat can destroy the weapon.

The missiles are launched using num0, this can be changed in
robot.rte/robot.lua:line 21

The sprites are by Glowsticks, the code by me.

First the 'bad' news;
I don't like the brown/dirt colours on the mech a lot. It makes it appear to be made out of clay/pottery.
The legs seem a bit small compared to the huge body.
Both are my own opinions ofcourse. :wink:

The rest is amazing. I like the shape of the body and the gun popping off after overheating. Very nice detail. :)

By the way, have you thought about putting all your mods into some sort of pack?

Well, what can I say.
Mehman can do cool stuff. And the breaking gatling gun is a cool detail.
I agree with Gotcha! though, the sprite... eh, it needs some work.

The only thing this makes me think is that force-field shields are getting a bit over used.

Opinions on what the brown should be changed to? I'm not going to change the leg size as undersized leg thing is what I was going for.

Making it light gray/metally would be the best option. Looks best with the dark blue.

Possibly with some brighter accent colors around the gun to differentiate it from the rest of the mech a bit more

Nice stuff Mehman and Glowsticks. The machine acts like its suppose too and is a good weight and size. The LegBG002 sprite is upside-down, lol.

@Glowsticks: The matte paint can be charming if you want to keep it. If you want to increase the lighting the original paint, only faint highlights will be needed. Namely the muted yellows or darker pale skin tones for the sandy sienna. All the blues can go shade lighter or expand the original highlight across the top.

Messed around with a bit more, and found a bit of an annoying issue with it. After doing the combat roll it came with (Nice integration of your mobility mod, BTW), the gun has a small tendency to pop off. Jumping and hitting a wall, or being shot by a high force weapon also make the mech drop its weapon.

Dunno what you can do to fix it, but the large feet make picking it up again troublesome

I do believe its supposed to be un-equippable? Its designed as a mounted gun, so if it gets shot off you just have a walking missile launcher with death rolls. ;P

*cough* That said how can i make the thing shoot more than once bofore reloading?

JointStrength = 9001 should do the trick I'm pretty sure, if the gun is .ini based.

It has infinite ammo, the ammo counter displays the temperature of the gun.(0 is cold, more than 100 and it begins to malfunction, 250 destroys the gun).
