I know there are 100 round mags, but I mean how often are they actually used? They are ♥♥♥♥ massive and I'll bet heavy as hell. The mod doesn't look like it has a type C either, so it makes no sense.

When someone says 'Tommy Gun', most people who know what one is would imagine the 1921 version with a 100rnd .45 Drum mag. It's the type that Winston Churchill had his photo taken with, posing as a gangster.

Oh. Yeah, they are. The M1928A1 was the model entered into military service, it used 30 round straight box mags. It could still accept drum mags but they were unpopular as they were as you said, heavy, and also unreliable. Also, it didn't have the forward grip.

EDIT2: Actually, yeah, the 50rnd (Type L) drum mag was more common. The 100rnd Type C(entury?) mag was ♥♥♥♥ huge!

There isn't one. 20 and 30 rounds - box magazines (Type XX and Type XXX, respectively), 50 and 100 drum magazines (Type L and Type C, also respectively).

Even so, if a 100 round magazine did exist then it's entirely likely that this particular tommygun is using it, whether or not it was common at the time.

Haha, that's a pretty badass picture. Thanks for sharing I know that many people think of Tommy Gun as the "gangster version" with the forward grip and 100 round mag, but I consider "actually common" and "what people think is common" to be different. I'm not saying it's a terrible idea to have a 100 round mag in CC I'm just saying it is probably unlikely that 100 round makes would be used in war.
