ever wanted a HUGE turret that can fling 5 ton shells at 70 mph?

Originally designed to take down trade star class ships in order work as part of a planetary defense system

How can this thing shoot down space ships when the projectile doesn't even have the velocity to escape the planets gravitational field

It defies the laws of physics and never slows down from 70 MPH...?

Nobody said it was a surface-based defence system.

At 70 mph, it would need several minutes to hit the target (assuming said target isn't stupid enough to get within mortar range), so even if the above applied (and it does without breaking the laws of physics if Allstone is correct), this would be utterly useless at anything involving relatively long ranges. It's too slow, damnit!

ENOUGH!

Stop discussing the dodgy physics involved. This mod is terrible and hardly worth 3 pages of scientific debate.

It really isn't bad for AAL lovers, but I just can't picture it. Put the fire rate up to 3000 for ♥♥♥♥ and giggles though, it was fun for a wee bit.

Turn this into a MAC cannon, and THEN your talking!

What's a MAC cannon?

Magnetic Acceleration Cannon, so MAC Cannon is redundant.

They don't know that. Besides, MAC Cannon sounds better than MA Cannon, or just plain MAC.

It may sound better, but it's profoundly stupid. Also, there are more accurate names for those things: railguns or coilguns, depending on the way they accelerate the projectile, though both involve magnetic fields. MAC is kinda... vague, though I'm willing to bet you're talking about a railgun.

Railgun doesn't sound as riduculously, over the top powerful as MAC does. MAC is a Cannon, Railgun is merely a gun. Even if they are pretty much identical.

MAC and Railgun are discarded, Railcannon is summoned from the Fusion card pile!

Seriously, neither of them are inherently "cooler", it's all in the presentation. Now go back to arguing about why the sprite is bad, that's actually useful discussion.

Do not mock railguns.

But, Duh is correct. Back to the horrible sprite discussion. They mainly lack shading, and could use some more colors, the theme isn't really important as long as it looks good and you (along with everyone else) like it. Practice makes perfect!
