Is there a zip file for this mod?

It takes literally seconds to find a good, free archive program that can handle .rar files. Here's one.

Running windows vista, downloaded S.A.W from gamefront and it didn't give me a folder to unzip, just a big internet explorer symbol. I have tried to download it again and got the same thing? I am new to modding. Thanks.

your probably right clicking and saving the internet shortcut link instead of the file.

Hello again. Ok I tried both sites to download - I only clicked "download" no right clicking or saving anything. I am getting:
Type of file: RAR file (.rar)
Open with: Internet Explorer
I think that is what is causing the error (though all other mods except one have downloaded correctly) but I am not sure what program I should select as an alternative for opening it.
I have tried clicking the SAW.rte file (it is not in a folder, just a paper with the blue "e" symbol on it) and it flashes the screen but does not open anything (even if I select "open").
However, once I have tried to open the file, I cannot delete it until I close the Internet Explorer window (even though it didn't open a new window or a new tab) it says : "This action can't be completed because this file is open in another program"

Install this.

Once it's installed, right click the file and click "Extract to" and find your cortex command folder inside your C:\\ and find program files.
Open that up and go find a folder called DataRealms, then find a folder called Cortex command.

The mod inside the file you just unzipped should have a folder that looks like it has an .rte extension. ( Mod.rte )

Click that folder and drag it into the Cortex Command folder.

You have installed a mod.

So you are saying I need the WinRar program to download/unzip the S.A.W mod? I have installed other mods, the only one I am having problems with is the S.A.W. mod, all the others have installed correctly (downloaded and unzipped without a problem).

You have to be patient with people; not everyone is as much of a MAGICAL INTERNET GENIE as you are.

gamebrain, if you right click the icon and choose "Open with" and pick WinRar, that should solve your problems and you should be able to extract the mod.

I just wanted to thank you all very much for helping me, I got it to work with the information you gave me!

As a side, I am new to modding - I am 15 and this is the first time I have ever done this. I just want those who were helpful to know that it means alot to a new kid to have people willing to help in a nice way.

Hey Coops, I'm getting some erratic firing response from your guys, I'm presuming it has to do with the 1.05 AI tweaks and how it processes weapons to fire.

It's probably because I have the 1.0 AI pasted in all of the scripts that the unit's use.
