Science has never been so much fun!

The scanner is a tool where you simply point at an object, press FIRE, and the device gives a list of some information concerning the object. Press FIRE again to remove the list and you're ready to scan a new object!

Now there's the Advanced Scanner! It may look exactly the same as the Scanner with a different label, but it's actually better!

With more information listed about your scanned target, your research will be even easier!

Really cool :)

But, can your scanner preview the secondary/tools/grenades that is not equipped ?

I couldn't have expected less.
This will help me a lot in my crazy lua researches and testing.

Thanks CC.

EDIT:

Wait a second, and the mass, all of the inventory, and even more details? Anyway, why bother, with this is enough.

Scanning the entire inventory is a tricky thing to do, since you have to force the actor to flip through all their weapons and check each one, which isn't something you want to do per frame.

However, I have considered adding an Advanced Scanner, which will provide more information about the target. I just didn't want the screen to be covered in text :P.

But can you make the text scroll-able with some button?

I can, but what button would that be?
And don't state a specific key on the keyboard. Specific key bindings = bad

Can't you make that customizable? Like in almost any mod? And if I had to choose, it'll probably be something like F and G, or Z and X, or V and B.

EDIT:

Oh, yeah, I forgot to say that you can also target HDFirearms with this! Which is pretty cool. I thought you could just aim at actors. And did you know that an average actor has around 7-8 parts? That means that you can have around 30 actors in game at the same time, without counting doors and weapons.

Update: Now with the Advanced Scanner, you can grab more information about your target.

Finally, I just wanted to know the part of the mass.

I feel more than happy now.

Thanks for your awesome work CC!

EDIT:

Alright, here I have my first, but accidental, result.

Now I can see the hp of those on the neutral hostile team!

Off Topic: I'm surprised no one posted a over 9000 reference so far.
