Never? Who knows. Arcalane just made something everyone said that wouldn't happen, he resprited one of the ugly guns. I wouldn't be so pesimistic. |

Making new Space Marine chapters would be relatively trivial, but I just don't have the time, patience and skills for entire new factions. At first I thought finding a good base image would be difficult, but I had my copy of the Dark Heresy corebook handy. They put an image of each weapon alongside its Armoury entry, and that provided a nice reference for a replacement. ![]() ![]() ![]() Another mediocre improvement. Fairly low detail, etc. etc. Just finished fine-tuning the muzzle offset. The aiming offsets don't seem to need adjusting from the old ones. Et voila; Attachment: Attachment: |

Ok, I'll make a small patch with your weapons, Arcalane. Expect it in the OP soon. Nice avatar BigBomb. |

Faffing around with odds and ends; IG Longlas: ![]() Using the current IG Lasgun in the pack as a starting point, I made some modifications to it based off the image in the DH corebook, then stuck on the scope from the Scout Marine Rifle. IG Missile Launcher: ![]() Loosely based off this. I'm not feeling particularly inspired by the result. SM Heavy Flamer: ![]() Drawn from a mashup of a Catachan Heavy Flamer, this custom Steel Legion SM/Cadian hybrid, and a Death Korps of Krieg Heavy Flamer. Only the Emperor's Finest need apply. Ed: ![]() Pvt. Gibson testing the Longlas. ![]() Brother Incendius assesses the new Heavy Flamer. |

Arcalane, you would be my hero if you redid the Meltagun. |

Your sprites are very good, but they lack something. I don't what, but still, they are better than the originals. When you post those last three guns you've remade I'll put the patch ![]() |

KravenDanger wrote: Arcalane, you would be my hero if you redid the Meltagun. What's wrong with it? If it's about the stream effect, that may need lua fanciness to fix, in which case I can't do much. -- Asklar wrote: Your sprites are very good, but they lack something. I don't what, but still, they are better than the originals. When you post those last three guns you've remade I'll put the patch ![]() I know what you mean there, I think it's just the relative simplicity of the shading and low detailing. I probably won't be finishing the IG Missile Launcher. The Longlas and Heavy Flamer are new. What I may be doing is tweaking the existing one to have Ronin RPG-style fragmenting Rockets as an alternate munition. I'm waiting on a PM response from someone right now regarding something with the Flamers, depending on how that goes there might be an extra feature on them, and I'll just upload a full pack rather than forcing people to mess around with patches. I've actually made quite a few changes to my 'personal' version of the compilation. All of the Bolters can use non-explosive Kraken-Pattern Penetrator Bolts, for example. I'll post a proper change list assuming I make that full release. ![]() |
