Post subject:  [Mod Contest Entry: Balanced Actor] Zycox

For my entry in the contest I decided to make an actor to go with my gun from the previous contest.

You buy the version with armour, the unarmoured one is just to show off the sprites.

It should be fine to just instal this over the last Zyx.rte if you still have it. You may or may not want to uncomment the weapon file in index.ini

Nice to see a theme running! Keep at it and you'll have your own faction in no time.

That's the theory. In practice I can't keep focused on one project long enough to actually finish it. My list of partially completed factions is ever growing, especially since I can do the basic spritework for an actor and a couple of weapons in just a couple of hours, while coding it takes much longer.

And that's not even counting the 4 or 5 factions I did when I just started to learn to mod, all of which are crap and got scrapped.

Oh hey nice spritework!

I love seeing new sprites popping up.

Also, is that a bug/alien like actor I see there? Cortex Command needs more alien/bug factions.

Yup. Complete with wings and green blood. That faction is the furthest along of my factions. The actors are pretty much done, it's just the weapons giving me problems. I've overhauled them 3 or 4 times and even got some help from Major, but I'm still not quite satisfied with them.
