I'm Russian-American and I always see people talk ♥♥♥♥ about communism, along with panicking whenever Russia's military scratches itself.

Why do people consider the Soviet Union to be hell on Earth? My parents came out of it just fine; the Soviet Union, for all its "oppressive" policies and (admittedly true) economic failures, promoted equal rights for women, maintained stability, cracked down on crime and held off Muslim extremism throughout its territories.

It's the video game industry, you see, the Soviet Union is always the enemy. Or communists. Or it's team color is red.


But being serious, it's not much about the political party, it's about the person we are talking about. People always use stereotypes, and generally, people who just dislike you with really superficial reasons.

And talking about persons, in the recent presidential debate, Obama looked much more powerful than Romney. Like, with more confidence. So the winner of the elections is just a huge doubt for me right now.

Mostly because America demonized the HELL out of it during the Cold War. Being capitalistic and all about Freedom and Liberty and ♥♥♥♥, America is naturally suspicious of socialism and communism, but when we're also playing a Nuclear Missile staring contest?
"BEAT THE REDS, COMMIES ARE EVIL, SOVIET SCUM" etc etc.

Advanced Delphi. After about a year or so, Ive begun "Graphical Programming"
Using bare core functions in Pascal to draw graphics. I made this nifty little 3D shape renderer. You can alter refresh rate and colour and it gives cool results.
