512 MB. And Black & White 2 crashed for me every time I played it on my computer from graphical issues. God my computer sucks.

I know people run worse than me, but do you know how hard it was to beat the entire game of F.E.A.R. with major lag on this computer? I'm surprised I didn't give up at the second chapter!

For the record:
The real guts:
AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.8GHz
2x Kingston PC3200 1024MB stick
1x ATi Radeon X1650Pro
Misc:
Rounded cables
+ Amazingly, these drop a few degrees of peak operating temperature! Not to mention the case is easier to manage)
2x 120mm intake and exhaust fans (because HPs are not built with "cool as in temperature" as a priority)
2x Expansion slot fanz (because the fan on the X1650 is really -- not useful).
My PC generally runs at 37-45 C (98-117 F)
Its not flashy, but it gets the job done, I suppose. It isn't the prettiest machine, but I can run FEAR, BF2, CNC3, HL2 at maximum graphics settings, so I'm cool.

I suppose so...Ah well, planning on upgrading to 1GB sometime soon anyway, plus a 64 bit processor.

Gotta be careful with 64-bit processors sometimes. A lot of apps are not created to take advantage of hyperthreading and parallel tasking that makes 64-bit and dual core useful.
Augh, I R DUMB, I was thinking I was still using Fedora.

Augh, I R DUMB, I was thinking I was still using Fedora. It's so unfair how sucky my computer is...

Ok, what's the difference between 32 and 64 bit?

64 bit runs faster, it processes more bits of memory faster. Meaning instead of a two cylinder on a car, you get four.

But your post was full of failure.
Thanks Shade.

Even though they're fancy not many applications are meant to take control of 64 bit and dual core (As stated by THOR above.) Even if you bought a new graphics card with pixel shading, dynamic lighting and advanced physics, if you played a game such as Battlefield 1942, it would not utilize that. Kind of the "military specialization" type of situation there. Although Vista requires quite a few high specs, so same situation thar.
