Post Moderator Blues - Christmas Edition
Being a moderator is definitely more trouble than it's worth for me.
To give you a backstory of what went on, for a long time on my site Zerozaku, the mods all disappeared, and the site was filled with spam, flame topics, etc. So after a long time backseat modding, the site owner remembered he had a site, and officially gave me the mod title. Me and an admin then chose two other mods, both were site seniors. One of them hasn't touched the site since around that time, and the other went on a mad power trip. She is still on a mad power trip.

The current staff lineup is:
Me, and frankly I do all of the mod work. Others vouched for me
Veve, my girlfriend, a system admin, no authority but she can do admin stuff
Phaedo, the mod who went on a power trip, constantly starts flame wars, makes everything a personal issue. Does not touch the MCP
Cake, an absent admin
depths, an absent admin that is reachable sometimes, and knows how to handle issues properly. Sides with me most of the time
Personoid, a site developer that all of my programmer friends make fun of, absent, has a history of douchebaggery
Hero, the owner of the site, absent

What's happening now:
The past month, Phaedo has been flaming Veve, and myself. Originating in a suggestion thread that Bigbomb made, like out of nowhere. It was originally just Veve, but I would occasionally reply. She's one of those people that denies everything you say to her even if you quote her on it. After bringing her personal hate to the homepage chat, I ended up giving her a week ban. So like literally five minutes later, Cake and Personoid come in and unban Phaedo, Personoid starts a flame war of his own. He subsequently bans me and Veve permanently because, and I quote: "plz go awai". Later on, Veve's friend posted a screenshot with Phaedo saying she'll come back a month from now, leaving the site without any staff. Phaedo deleted the flame thread, so there isn't any real way for us to prove the corruption now. Hero has been online today and said he will talk to us about it. Doubt it.

What do I do?
Quitting sounds like a good option right now.

I ask myself this all the time. But the site has a lot of sentimental value to me.
So much happened. I rapidly evolved into an icon in the string of communities ZZ is in.
And I started as some idiot kid, and ended up as what I am now.

note that my internet life is kind of complicated to explain as far as all of my milestones/accomplishments go

I don't see how you could salvage that situation anymore.
Nuke&Pave or gtfo.

I can tell the conversation with Hero is going to be a biggun.
Might decide if Phaedo will be demoted, I will quit, or pave&nuke the ♥♥♥♥ out of everything

My site's webspace is owned by a guy who does absolutely the most possible to get in my way whilst doing absolutely nothing at all in the community but your situation sounds far more frustrating
Won't even do the one job he said he would do ):

Daman you are an endless fount of wisdom.
Dunno what you should do. If talking with the owner can get things straightened out, then do that and serve the power trippers a little justice. If not, then walk slowly into the sunset.

Unless you are on the side of the developer and carry out their wishes, situation sounds FUBAR.

P.S. Make me a mod.

P.P.S. Banning another moderator should involve some serious communication beforehand - just the fact that a mod is flaming another is grounds for serious concern. The Mods here work together and only every so often do we hold a blanket party for P3l ;P

Thanks for the advice.
The developer who banned me most likely won't get punished. Slap on wrist. The admin is his buddy.
Haha, what a story Mark.

Ahaha. Sothe. Remember that old gif I made on Pheado's story. I slammed a big ol` TLDR on it.

Haha yeah, her posts are walls.
I posted a "LOL DIDN'T READ" mythbusters dance gif in the thread and she got pissed off.

You're not still on the forum because of nostalgia value, you're still on the forum because you hold a semblance of power and it's hard to give it up

I'd be willing to give up my power. I'm an INTJ, I don't really ever want power. But frankly, I do a lot of mod work that the site needs.
