Post Black Screen of death?
Yup I really don't know what happened here I was browsing the forums defragmenting my HDD when all of a sudden my computer stopped responding then a few seconds later the screen went black the power was still on and everything so I had to shut it off and restart windows I don't think it's a virus because I just reinstalled windows but I will do a virus scan just to be sure.

Anyone ever get a black screen of death instead of a blue screen?

It's happened to me a few times. I'm guessing it had to do with the video card.

36M time = 36M 19s, way better than that horrible pentium computer =p

My favorite thing was that the program said it had more allocated memory than was existing. XD

I have a similar problem

about 50% of the time I log off, the screen just goes

That IS to do with the graphics card

Something like that used to happen to me. When I logged out, or the screensaver was activated, the screen just died with the message "so signal input" when I tried to get the comp working again. Fixed itself after a while though, it may actually have been when we replaced that buggy old graphic card that came with the comp (In fact it was from the Nvidia Nforce series - I think 6400+ - but it still bugged.)

I get a black screen of doom when playing full screen games, the game freezes for about half a second then the screen goes black and nothing happens for the remainder of the time I leave it on.
