Honestly I think whether you use Chrome or Firefox should be decided by which runs better for you.

Chrome started running like ♥♥♥♥ for me, and Firefox had several minor features I wanted in regards to plug-ins, so I switch to Firefox.

I started this thread because I used IE 7 which is now SORELY outdated.

I use Firefox for the majority of my browsing, but I also use Chrome now and then.

One thing I will hand to Chrome is that its individual tabs have sub-processes in Task Manager/Process Explorer, so if one tab locks up the whole broswer for some reason, you can kill that tab without taking down the entire browser. If it doesn't lock up the whole browser, you can also see what's up with Chrome's own tab monitor or whatever it's called.

I wouldn't have recommended Chrome a year or two ago because it was a bit slow on catching onto addons and plugins but now that it's caught up it's really a matter of which runs better for you, and which you prefer.

Or I guess you could be a weirdo and use Safari/Opera or something obscure like that. :P But I wouldn't recommend it.

So, decide! We've laid out your options, but you are the one that has to 'pull the trigger' so to speak.

w3m, better than any of these stupid GUI browsers.

EDIT: Being srs, anything other than IE will give you better results. Firefox is my personal favorite, Opera after that (though it doesn't render some Javascript stuff right), Chrome would be good but Google's always looking over your shoulder. Safari I don't like because Apple.

I'd use Chrome if I could give it a menu bar like every single other program i have.

Yeah Chrome is fine if you're fine with being ♥♥♥♥ over by a corporation that spies on you, and sells your personal information to people.
You're never truly safe using Chrome. Your Gmail is monitored by Google. Your search results are filtered, and many sites are hidden from your searches. They sell not only your webform information, but your phone number, search history (including your incognito history), and GTalk conversations if you're even passe enough to use something as technologically behind as GTalk. Not to mention the fact that the Chrome browser itself adds you to Google's botnet. Oh don't forget that these same people also re-constructed Youtube turning into a horrible corporate-biased site.

I highly suggest Firefox. It has all you need to be safe, and browses without people snooping on you or tracking you.
This site should set you up with everything you need to browse Firefox properly. https://encrypteverything.ca/index.php/ ... th_Firefox

Jesus christ, I thought Kelas was tinfoil hat.
Also, oh nooooo, Google sells what is more or less the browsing summary of an average 18-26 year old white male to an internet company, and they call it "18-26 white male stats".
What will I doooo.

So you're saying you're fine with being spied on by Google?
I'm pretty sure access to your Gmail and filtering out whole websites is more than just "recording white male stats"

I suggest you read a book about a dystopian society. Literally any book covering the issues of future society. You know what? Try Transmetropolitan, it's a comic and has pictures.
