Post about cool programs you've installed, big updates towards hardware, or just show off your beautiful rig you've built with two shiny pennies.

This program saves some energy and helps your eyes. It's called flux.

end of story.

It does things involving saving, storing, and protecting keypasses.
It doubles nicely as a macro system.

end of story.

Other features involve safety measures involving the macro system, and the clipboard, so you can safely use it to paste all your critical 256 character SHA-256 passwords at the press of some bs key-combo.

LICEcap

It makes a frame on the screen that you can change the size of, and it records the area of the screen and turns it into a gif with whatever FPS you want. Makes making CC gifs extremely easy.

There is GifCam, but that includes quite a few editing tools.

Take all quality out of the gif, limited choices of FPS, a ♥♥♥♥.

not sure about the quality/compression options in licecap, but sharex does that too. and it also does about everything else. capture a rectangle of your screen, or a window, or an arbitrary shape, automatically upload to literally any image hosting service and place the link in your clipboard. http://getsharex.com/

also supports aero transparency(as in, transparent in window = transparent in png)/shadowing

And Daman appears, hey.
I think I recall something about you, a knife, and a flasher.

Thanks for that one, I need something that doesn't lie about quantifying my gifs.
