Post Possible bug with bunker modules
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11314

So in this thread I ask for help with something involving attaching actors to bunker modules. I first thought it was my problem, them began to realize that I might have stumbled across a bug, as described at the end of my first post in that thread. I'll describe it here, though.

That dark purple color you use on a module's material layer seems to replace whatever terrain you put the module on with empty space, backed by the BG layer of the module. It does indeed, as after laying down such a module, I can have actors move through that area.

But if you try to attach an actor to the module (in the module's code) inside that dark purple area, it for some reason gets pushed to the edge of the area when you lay it down. I don't understand why, since that area is empty and should allow an actor to be in it.

My only guess about this is that the system considers any part of the module that isn't light purple to be a solid piece when it first puts it down, THEN it adds the actor, which gets pushed to the edge of it, and THEN it actually considers the dark purple area and makes it empty. That doesn't seem like what it logically should do.

I could be wrong about all this, but as far as my knowledge goes this could be a bug.

Edit: Just as a disclaimer, I'm NOT asking for help with my mod here. I'm just bug reporting.
