Post B24, Switch Body keys not working
So, I decided I would try out the latest build, and already I've run into a problem. While playing a Skirmish Defense match, or any match for that matter, I can't control ANYTHING but the Buy Menu and the Brain itself! Using the Q & E keys as defined in the controls menu doesn't allow me to switch to anything whatsoever, and I noticed that the icon for the Switch Control command doesn't show up at all on the brain.

Help?

Edit: Yes, I am using the Mouse&Keyboard "player icon" for my games.
Edit Edit: YES, I had my keyboard plugged in.
Edit x3: YES. My keyboard DOES work with my backup of B23.

To any and all questions relating to whether or not my keyboard does work properly: NO. (This was written with sarcasm. Of course my keyboard works properly. I think.) Yes. Yes it does.

Just to clear things up a bit. I DO know for a fact that it is B24 causing this problem, not me.

*prays for a fast response as he REALLY wants to try out the new features in B24 D:*

Define the controls again.

Switch body controls for keyboard and mouse are not defined by default (or are defined to something weird) so you gotta do it yourself. Dunno if that's the same for keys only.

That fixed it. Thanks. Dunno why they wouldn't be defined by default. Also, is there any way to change the Secondary Fire key? I don't see it in the Controls menu. Kinda hard to S-Fire and move at the same time when I have to reach across the keyboard to do so.

Secondary fire is a mod's addition, so you'd have to change it in the mod's files, dependent on the mod.

DarkStorm. The secondary fire and melee hotkeys are N and M, which is a tad painful for my hand when I want to move at the same time, on account of my wrist that got FUBAR a year ago in a bicycling accident.

(Some 400 pound idiot on a motor-scooter crushed my hand under the wheel after I hit a lip on one of the concrete blocks used for the sidewalk and flew off my bike, which shattered my wrist. The motor-scooter + the 400 pounds of stupid riding it, I mean. And I'm not bashing fat people. This guy in particular was only 400 pounds of stupid because he literally WATCHED me as I fell and then kept moving even though my arm was in the path of his scooter. Needless to say, I tried moving my arm a tad bit too late, and voila. Crushed hand with a side of shattered wrist.)

TL;DR, Fat guy on motor scooter shattered my wrist after I fell off my bicycle a year ago and it never healed properly. 'Nuff said.

Basically, I want to change them to Z and X, respectively.

In the file used for the hotkeys I noticed that N was "13" and M was "14". Would that make Z & X numbers 8 & 9?

It should be 26 and 24, respectively. Check inside the folder; there are instructions included with the mod and easily changed settings.

Hm. I'll check back in a sec and see if it worked.

Edit: Yep, it worked. Thanks man.

Darlos did an excellent job making his mod's controls easily changeable. Other mods will not be so friendly, and require extra work.
