I tried posting this a bit ago, but the post didn't go through. So this error happened when I tried to start up B26 and then later B27. I have no idea what caused it, because it worked perfectly fine before. Here is the message: Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp, line 542, because: Wrong type in reader when passed to Serializeable::Create() in Base.rte/Settings.ini at line 184! I tried to do the methods suggested in a few forum posts, but nothing works. I still get this message if I remove enough lines of code so that there are less than 184 in the settings.ini. |

Did you install it in another folder then cc 26 was? Also don't install it in the program files folder. if this doen't help. post your abortscreen picture here so that i can have a look at it. |

If you're using Windows Vista or 7, don't install the game in Program Files. Install it to the root of your C: drive or (like I do) make a separate drive to install games on. Damn, there needs to be a huge sticky to tell people not to install CC into Program Files. >_> |
