They would be rotated wrong and it would be impossible to contract them to the right position. As well, the old actor would still be behind it.

I decided a while back that my first task will be an intricate grenade launcher, capable of taking different ammo types and firing them timed or impact, and with or without airburst. The air-burst/proximity function itself will be Lua.

I'll probably move onto my other explosive launchers after that, then start doing stuff to my other guns, including more ammo types and underslung/hybrid weapons with primary and secondary fire.

Moving away from traditional mod weapons... lately I've been thinking about the possibility of expanding the AI of actors. A major thing would be giving the actor the ability to trajectorize effectively, taking into account factors such as the muzzle velocity and spread of the gun, and the current distance and velocity of a given target. I think I'd relegate this to drone-type actors such as my turrets though, since I'd know exactly what weapons it they could be using. Plus then you wouldn't have to worry about controlling them, since they'd probably wind up being BETTER at shooting things than you.
