Once upon a time, the only way you could get cash was to haul loot into dropships and send it into space. It was a difficult process, so the process was simplified to a one-step process. My request is to bring back the old method in a new and rewarding way: Collectible treasure.

The treasure would be any item (gold statues, crystals, gems, etc.) with a high gold value (50-300), and is durable (dropping one wouldn't break it). You could even take code from the Ronin rock and make it a last-ditch weapon.

I'm thinking of doing a scene where you start off with no cash and few units, but you would raid an outpost to steal their loot. With this, you could then buy troops to attack a fortified base.

We're mining gold, it makes sense to mine gems while we're at it. And who's to say there definitely wasn't somebody capable of making idols back then?

Make HeldDevices.
DeepCheck = 1 (Unless it is something really old and fragile).
Make their material Mega Metal. (Unless it is something really old and fragile).
Make them worth a crap load. (Judge how much by how rare you think it would be, and how hard it is to get back into orbit).
Give them artifact sprites or gem sprites.
Edit them into your favorite stages.
Done.

I'd like shields if more weapons were one-handed.
Or if they protected my weapon. (But they cannot because then they would be shot by the gun, not to mention guns come in all shapes and sizes.)

That contains normal ronins and coalition, but they have special things like a video camera or expensive liquor.

I like this idea a lot. Plus, I think it would be easier that having to mine through more or less the entire map for about 2000 gold.

It depends on your idea of easier. It's more frustrating, because the little gems can be destroyed via crushing and unheld items limit, and it's harder to port them up for money.

What I mean is like instead of getting little tiny bits at a time and having different mining tools that just slice up the ground instead of making the gold pop up and hit your actor, you would get bulk and you could use the TKWielder or the Grav Gun or the Phys Gun.
