Post Star Wars Drones
Well,im new here, and i played this game for 10-12 weeks to now.
First off,if my english is bad,it's because i am from Argentina.(aka south america)

Now,since i saw the drone,it reminded me of star wars instantly!
Now the question is,can anybody make an simple reskin and a blaster rifle?
Reference pic:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3274/253 ... 3e.jpg?v=0
I will describe it:
A skinny, beige colored "dummy" robot like with a radio box thingy with antennas.
It wears an blaster rifle that fires red colored lasers.
The drone shall cost 70 gold, and it should be fairly weak, pretty fast and comes with the blaster rifle.
The blaster shall cost 30 gold, but it's already equipped into the drone,so it shouldn't be a problem.

The drone should be like a dummy, but a bit weaker, and beige colored, with the reference pic body.
Well,i hope this ain't that much of a trouble.
All of you guys make good mods.

Thanks for reading. :)

Damage can't be that specific. The bolts would have to explode, and explosions send out particles which cause damage, which is in turn based on the sharpness and weight of the particle along with the composing material of the thing being hit. Also, while canon, the "go through anything" deal is a really bad idea in CC.

NaXx, the B1 Battle droids, more specifically. And someone once made some really awesome sprites for them, though I can't remember who or where. Also, according to canon, the bolts explode when they hit something.

attn: stop making new topics for every dumb idea that pops into your head
I don't care if you're from argentina, unless you're eight years old you're capable of basic impulse control

These aren't the droids you're looking for.

On an on topic note, B1's and the B2's would be fairly easy, not sure about droidekas though. The B1's could be slaved to a specific control point that when destroyed leaves them deactivated on the battlefield. Any reinforcements would also not function until a new control point is ordered.

Meltadown, tecnicism are not neccesary, classical scum what you crash with your blaster and EMP grenades.

If someone votes for droideka I'll got sprites ready in 24 hours.

A Droideka would be epic.
I'm surprised there hasn't been a huge Star Wars mod already, considering a Jango / Boba would be possible with dual blasters, missile pack, wrist flamethrowers and a grappling hook. But, knowing nothing of modding, I have no idea how hard that would be.

Epicity isn't the matter now. Many times noob-modders have tried to do a Star wars mod ending with nothing.
And about difficulty, sprite it will be pretty easy, but code it will be a nightmare, considering the
ball-runing-mode of droidekas...

*ashamed*
Err, yeah, point taken. Anyways, lua-wise, I think the only way to do the ball-mode would be to transform the actor into another one when the crouch key is pressed or something.

sorry man about that, but I wasn't mean to you... check the forum past...

[Edit] Using common sense I found that...
If you have a logic brain you can manage to do a pretty decent battle droid.
