'Not common or obvious'
It's from bloody Minecraft. You know, that extremely hyped game that everyone knows about?
Just because you don't play it means nothing. Most everyone else here did, so it wouldn't be obscure at all.

It's a common courtesy to provide a picture or small description, you can't just assume everyone knows what he's talking about. If an item that was not known to me was requested, some reference material or tips from the - for want of a better word - client would be essential. Just googling it would not be of much use, it's necessary to ascertain what the requester wants and how he wants it to work.

You could plonk some skeleton sprites onto some crab sprites (as turret parts), and use a bow as a turret gun. Making it gib into the appropriate parts could be a bother, but some simple scripting should fix that.

This is pretty much it. Use the dreadnaut as a base, fiddle with the sprites and the offsets and the materials, make yourself a crossbow or borrow someone else's, then come back and I'll write you a script for deciding what, if anything, it gibs into.
