Post 40K Recomp Requests
Let me state this first - all I want are sprites. I'll be handling all the sounds, ini coding, etc. etc.

Random Marine/Scout/Guardsman Heads/Helmets/Gasmasks/etc.
The current selection could use a little more depth. I'd like some more head sprites for use with randomizing scripts, for the following actors;
* Scouts
* Marines
* Guardsmen

Pretty much free reign with skin tones, headgear, bionics, etc.
Scout headgear refs; [1], [2], [3].

Finding other pics is a pain in the ass.

Redone SM Drop Pods, and new IG & Turret/Equipment Drop Pods
The current SM Drop Pods probably need some touching up.
Drop pod refs; closed, open.

Problem with those is there need to be variants in all five currently supported chapter schemes - Ultramarines, Black Templars, Dark Angels, Blood Angels, and Space Wolves.

Dedicated drop pods, especially for the IG (and possibly for turrets) as a scaled down version of that would be handy too.

New Plasma Cannon
The current plasma cannon looks more like a scaled up plasma rifle/gun, which I think makes identification a little too tricky.

Refs;
[1], [2], [3], [4].

Also see the MK XIII near the Jump Pack on this wargear sheet.

Chapter-neutral scheme preferred, with blue rather than green fx.

Autoweapons
I have plans to eventually test out with these, but first I'd like to have some decent sprites. As far as guns go, they can look like just about anything, as long as it looks like a decently chunky slugthrower.

Plans are for six weapons;

1 - Autopistol; a large-cap sidearm capable of automatic fire.
2 - Revolver; six-shot, powerful.
3 - Stub Pistol; standard lower-capacity sidearm, but decent power.
4 - Autocarbine; a large SMG/cutdown assault rifle.
5 - Autogun; standard assault rifle, decent capacity and stopping power.
6 - Heavy Stubber; machinegun.

Refs from the Dark Heresy core book;

Autopistol, Revolver, Stub Pistol; from top to bottom.
Autogun; sufficiently chunky?
Heavy Stubber; Drum mag preferred.

Take in mind these are just general references. There's plenty of leg room for unique touches.

Versions with attachments (e.g. bayonets, grenade launchers, shotguns) optional but welcome, since I have some scripts I can re-use for them.

Hello Arcalane. I'm new to this stuff, spriting, modding, this forum, etc. I really dig your 40k Recomp Mod so I wanted to try my hand at a bit of spriting as thanks for the cool mod. All I have for now is this revolver. Probably not that good, but if you can use it, cool. I made a Heavy Stubber too, but it came out a bit ugly. :oops:

I'll get to work on fixing up the Plasma cannon (it is quite diffcult since i believe it needs the wire and backpack to give it the exact feeling, while i do agree the one i did awhile back just look like a bigger Plasma gun) as well as creating the Autoweapons.
as for the drop pod, The other Warhammer mod drop pods does somthing simliar so maybe you could ask the creater to borrow them?



EDIT: Done a quick remake of the Plasma cannon that i have in my files ( not sure if anyone else remade it or resprited it.)
