We now have things like an IRC CHANNEL and the one-tenth edition of TRENCHCULT: THE ROLEPLAYING GAME. There might even be a game sometime soon. |

Trenchcult was me throwing a game together over the course of 8 hours over three days. All the work was done late at night when I should have been sleeping. Then I ran out of ideas for content and it's sort of dead right now until I can figure something out. |

An "eclipse phase" is the period between when a cell is infected by a virus and when the virus appears within the cell and transforms it. During this period, the cell does not appear to be infected, but it is. Players take part in a cross-faction secret network dubbed Firewall that is dedicated to counteracting "existential risks" — threats to the existence of transhumanity, whether they be biowar plagues, self-replicating nanoswarms, nuclear proliferation, terrorists with WMDs, net-breaking computer attacks, rogue AIs, alien encounters, or anything else that could drive an already decimated transhumanity to extinction. Basically a cool creative commons pen and paper RPG that Alenth says he's thinking of running and I'm interested in, it's got nice fluff, cool mechanics that hinge on stuff like buying and modifying bodies and cool stuff like that. |

The game never references using miniatures or anything (and they would be bad for 0g environs anyways) so IRC seems like all we need for this. Home Site http://www.eclipsephase.com/ If you get the .pdf and start thinking about playing post here with timezone-marked avaliability. Also READ THE ENTIRE CHAPTER ON CHARACTER CREATION (You don't have to read about every morph in detail but whatever). This is because there are things STUFFED INTO PARAGRAPHS WHERE THEY ARE NEVER AGAIN MENTIONED and you will MESS UP BADLY. I did this myself earlier today. I have school right now so WHO KNOWS when or how this game might run, but I hope to be able to do something. I might run a non-Firewall campaign (or let you guys run around a while before having Firewall hire you). If you have any questions post here or /msg me on IRC and I will try to get back to you about it (I am usually at school so IRC might be slower than expected).
