Raganok will rape your computer with a rootkit called game guard:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NProtect_GameGuard

Breaks anti-rootkits, several drivers, steam, google chrome and a lot of other things.

Also breaks some systems(notably Windows 7).

You can get older versions of the game, or one of the modified clients for private servers. I've been eyeing some of them, they're pretty advanced branches for something that was supposed to be commercial.

RF Online. Race vs Race vs Race war (Elves with summon creatures vs Robots with rocket launchers vs Midgets who use Mechlike robots)
its a Fantasy Sci-Fi mix, so each race can use guns, bows n crossbows, Swords, Spears, Axes and their unique ability (summons/launchers/mechs)

Runescape. Don't even need to describe it.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no.
Do -not- play RF Online unless you like glorified Korean grindfests.
I bought it Codemasters first came out with it.
It's horrible. Takes forever to do -anything-. The look was ok, but it was seriously so backassward I couldn't stand it.

I recently got out of WoW because frankly it's been sucking ♥♥♥♥ since TBC, and I finally got tired of paying for it.

As for a replacement I really couldn't offer you one.

Oh how I miss the days of Ultima Online: Renaissance.

try killing floor. its kind of like left 4 dead but with levels and more people. its got plenty original and old fashioned zombies. you can either get the old mod for UT 2004 or buy the retail (which is better and will be updated) for 20 bucks off steam.

Quite so. Many private servers are even better than the official one, and I enjoyed Ragnarok quite a lot, up to the point that I started collecting manga stuff from it, playing for six hours a day, and so on. I eventually got tired of it, but it still gives me good memories. (My avatar is a sprite ripped from it, in case you haven't noticed.)

If you feel like dishin' out some money for a higher quality game that has no monthly costs,
get Guild Wars 2 when it comes out.
