There were random little bits that you could find. Treasure and whatnot, and the strange dot things.

I mean seriously the exploration in WW was crap, you sailed really slowly around an ocean where there was NOTHING INTERESTING TO FIND OR LOOK AT.
BECAUSE IT WAS AN OCEAN.

You might as well have been on tracks in that game, there was no reason to stop in the middle of the sea and get out while sailing between islands, and "sailing between islands" is what the train is going to be for in this game.

I honestly have to disagree; yes, you sailed slowly, but there was an island in every square, and pretty much all of them had some really cool stuff or backstory if you played through it thoroughly. A lot of WW would be missed if you just followed the story line. A TON of it, really.

From a technical standpoint it was actually pretty impressive. While mostly undetailed, the world still contained the potential for seamless transition from one corner to the other, given enough time, something only replicated by a few other games of the generation (and on the gamecube, no less)

Wind Waker was the best Zelda game, in my opinion. I just loved th sailing, and there was a seemingly neverending supply of islands, and treasure maps.If you didn't like that game, you have a problem.

EDIT: Also, there was a ton of stuff to find in the ocean. Ever get the song that lets you warp using tornados? If not, then you have no right to speak about the "lack of stuff to find".

It was uh, impossible to beat the game without that song, as far as I remember.

I loved that in WW, when you beat it,
You could start another game on that name and have the option to play as toon link in his average clothes, the ones he wears at the beginning of the game.
That sounds amazing, I'll have to dig out my gamecube.

Got it a week ago(friday), beat it three days later, monday morning. Short indeed. But hey, the train system is much more enjoyable than the sailing system, and all these cargo shipment and passenger quests are fun to do. I was a bit dissapointed with the amount of dungeons, but overall it's a great game. I'd say it's much better than PH, but still short. The area unlocking system was nice, And I truly enjoyed going through a secret mini dungeon just to find a rare as hell treasure. (Yeppers, it was a little abandoned train station in the middle of a snowy field, with a cave further behind in the area)

Oh right, the wolf pack AI must be the most wonderful enemy AI I have seen in a long time. I mean, they are actually enjoyable to fight thanks to the AI.

PH? Phantom Hourglass? Who talks about that game. No foolish train system will ever compare to Wind Waker, with it's epic sailing.

that would be nice. it would be nice with an even darker storyline too. massacred villages, corpses strewn about, the works.

and i kinda want link to talk... i mean, I like him now, but fully voice acted branching conversations would be nice. and yes, i know it's part of the series that he doesn't talk, so that wouldn't happen.
