Post Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
If all goes well, ST will be released this fall. From the trailers, gameplay should be similar to Phantom Hourglass except you get control of a Phantom :) . The only downside so far is that link rides on a train instead of a boat or horse. That's just silly. What's next, a jet?!

Anyways, Gameplay Trailer

BTW, does anyone know where you can download the game demo?

Discuss.

I have to say, link in a conductors cap is rather amusing.
As is a train with that three-game-old strangely crafted cannon on the back.

Short? Lol I haven't finished mine yet (and I have it for almost a year).

Link uses a variety of new items and weapons, including the Whirlwind, which players activate by blowing into the microphone of the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi system

I hate this kinda stuff, I can't ever get it to work...

As long as it's not just tacked on it should be fine.
Though that sounds awfully tacked on to me...

Are you fekkin serious. A TRAIN. Oh god, I can't stand it. Lets go over the gimmicks of the last few games, shall we?

Ocarina of Time: 3D, Time travel, Best Zelda game ever.
Majora's Mask: THE FREAKING MOON, Masks aplenty, very good game, I could never beat the 4th temple.
Wind Waker: A boat, Hyrule is now an ocean, a refreshing twist from the norm.
Minish Cap: Haven't acutally played it, the hat looks retarded.
Twilight Princess: You can turn into a wolf. :D
Phantom Hourglass: Starting to wear out the welcome on the cartoonyness.
Spirit Tracks: This is just retarded. IT'S A TRAIN.

Post Re: Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
minish cap was actually a good game.
i'd prefer a new zelda game in the spirit of twilight princess on wii though, rather than more spammed games. nintendo have been the kings of shovelware for ages now, i want a reason to actually get out my wii and play something, not a reason to hide it and pretend i never got it.
spirit tracks looks like the dungeons could be good though, but i agree the train is a silly idea.

@roon: i 100% completed phantom hourglass in two weeks, playing a few hours after school. the only reason it took that long was some of the crystal things are a pain to get.

i still say majoras mask was the best zelda game ever.

I'll take your word on Minish Cap, doesn't change the fact that the hat looks retarded. :P
And I completely and utterly agree when it comes to the shovelware. For once, I would love to have just ONE GAME that I could rub people's noses in about. JUST ONE! Instead we get Barbie Horse Veterinarian. Four. Special AIDS Edition.

Game looks pretty crap, a train is just silly. Wind Waker was always the best Zelda, graphics are timeless and the gameplay is just fantastic.

hah. i agree, but you learn to ignore him. there was some cool sword stuff you could do in that game, and a ♥♥♥♥ of sidequests. some of the dungeons sucked though.

Yeah, not to mention it took a LONG time to beat. Oh, and plenty of side-missions. First off, EVERY island, all 49, are side-missions, so you're bound to miss tons. I mean, first time I played through I had NO IDEA you could get that resort thing from the teacher. Then, all the towns have lots to do in. Plus, just plain fun. Though I wish those Zelda games actually USED the iron boots, other than to enter a dungeon and then never use it again...OH! You know that one cave under the giant stone head on Outset Island? You know how if you go deeper you get all the Undead enemies and such? Does that cave ever end?

No, twilight princess is still better. The toon Link may look cool, but it can't beat a good, old, classic zelda story. Not to mention the graphics.
...But my favorite Zelda game still is the mildly unknown Link's Awakening. Even though I was never able to beat it. :P (Cursed maze inside the giant egg!)

Back on topic, a train does look a tad silly, but maybe the game itself will be good enough to make up for that.

You must've missed the new LOZ teaser.

Image

On topic: LOZ was always that sort of medieval series. The wind waker "series" (The timeline split after OoT) might just be going through all the eras 'n crap with its gimmicks.

Unless my observations are horribly wrong.
