Indie story-telling awesomeness in a game. Might make for some reaaally interesting multi stuff in our forum here!

I dunno, the little 'preview' screenshot journey thing seemed like it would be interesting, but if it's just you and an anonymous person playing, I'm hardpressed to see it 'working' and it seems more likely to just end up being dickjokes and fire everywhere.

Obviously person to person has some more possibilities, but I'll have to see the second player tutorial video to appreciate what exactly is going on.

So, it's basically a player, and a DM of sorts? Player one is just a person, and player two controls everything else that happens?
This looks interesting, but I don't have anyone to play it with.

this, I could just use manycam, GIMP and tinychat to do the same thing.

Edit: but I would enjoy playing this, espescially as the DM.

I'd do the same, but it would end up turning into a graphical Roll to Dodge with ridiculous results to any actions, like:

"you talk to the person"
"you miss, trip, land in the fireplace, knock yourself unconscious, then burn to death.

But that's what we all want! Graphical Roll to Dodge!

Just like MineCraft, little Big Planet, or any number of other user-content-driven games... Some will abuse, some will make giant penises, etc... But when the majority of people take it seriously and produce some awesome content, people will start to see the awesome value in it.

I think it'll be like a choose-your-own-adventure with infinite possibilities.

The only problem I see is defining an "endgame" scenario... How do you define when the story is over? Maybe there's a turn timer? *shrug*

well, I guess that's when the world is covered in magma and the screen says BOATMURDERED. there's a thirty second timer per turn, so the game is played actively. p1 preforms an action, then p2 actively changes the landscape, then p1 preforms an action, and so on.

kinda like messing around with characters in paint. p1 makes dude, p2 scribbles, and so on...

I made me some indiana jones sprites. Just to remind myself how much I suck at art.

I wish you could set the turn timelimit. I think 60 seconds would be about perfect for me. Maybe I just have to get better with the control end of things...

i think you can change it.
go to settings folder and timelimit.ini
There you can change it to more than 30 seconds. Didnt try it etc.

Seems intressting, but not 14$ intressting...
I do GM every weekend for about 12h, and mapmaking and moding is one of my big intressts, so being a controller would not be new to me.
I think my GF would love to play this with me though.

Hmm.. Maybe later, the game seems a bit rough around the edges.

Anyone have one of those "clip books" the game creates after one of your games, to share?
