Greetings !! I remember have played a turn based heroic fantasy game but I can't remember the name nore the editor ^^ The game was inspirated by AD&D rules and bestiary (good against evil, spells, characters, items to find, ...) and we could play against players and each time there was a switch the map representing the positions of the competitors was hidden (like a war fog). You could train armies and each time battles were won you could get veterans from the units survived the combats. There was a lot of units and each character was able to cast spells to destroy armies at some positions on the map (like meteors, lethal gaz, etc...). I can remember that when a character was involved in a battle the possiblity was done in the game to control your hero (just like Might and Magic but in real time). The units could be regular, veteran and elite if my souvenirs were good. I think this game was edited in 1990 but I'm not sure, it was working under dos. |

Age of Wonders. Also had Age of Wonders 2, with the expansion Shadow Magic. Good game. |

That's great !! I have not yet found but you just opened a sight on a game I never heard about and which seems to be very interresting ^^ I will try to get a copy (legal trust me) if this game is not yet considered as a abandonware... thank you... just another hint or clue, I remember, (in my memory already clouded by many sleepless nights spent assessing the addictive side of the game), when a player was killed a message was sent telling that "<the player> has been shattered"... |

Well his first post described Age of Wonders perfectly. Now I don't know what he's talking about. |
