I hope the next build has a way to heal wounds instead of just increasing health, that way you can make bandages. Also, I just discovered you can hold down fire to throw grenades farther.

Edit: my other idea was a set of campaign missions, with sneaking through ventalation and stuff. That would kick ASS.

I did have the sounds for snake in my mind, but I need to find the right ones.
As for the death sound, it will be his normal dying sound when he gets killed in mgs. The Snake! Snake? and so on sound is something I wouldnt really put it.

As for the campaign, I though of making it in a slightly different way.
Instead of making bases and stuff, YOU get to do that and you can even share your (im)possible challenges and bases and missions and see if anyone manages to beat without cheating.

In b21, I'd like to try use Lua for making the box work as a disquise, the Socom have a real laser sight, Famas a sniper-like scope, the knife would create custom wounds and possibly even another new weapon like a remote explosive or a nikita.

Dude this mod rocks! I love how cypher works, and the blast radius/power of the c4 is so awesome! I do have a question though, is there a way to get Snake's gear buyable from the buy menu? I'd love to be able to use his stuff on other actors!

I intended that these are Snake-only tools and guns but if you really want to buy them seperately do this:

Each weapon has its own .ini file within Solid Snake.rte.
And in each of these .ini files that can be opened with notepad have a line like this:

Code:
Buyable = 0


Change that value to 1 or just delete that line and it will be available.

Agree on all of these, but the sizing of the weapons seems off.

Also, could you post a version of snake without any equips, instead needing you to custom equip him?

Just remove the 'addtoinventory =' values in the actor ini. You also wanna make the weapons buyable, in the way that Numgun describes.

The silenced pistol is oversized too.
The box sprite is a little bland.
The cypher's particles are visible; I think it'd look better if they weren't.
Snake still sounds like a coalition.
Snake shoots visible gases out of his rear when he jumps.

Great job. The box might be the only really unique thing, but all of it's rather well done.

Im not truly satisfied with the weapons either, I'll fix them up not to look so horrible, I'll aim to make them more realistic unlike the current cartoonish style.

As for the box, I wanted to add some texture to it and lighten the outlines to make it blend more with surrounding. Also its pretty somewhat useless and its shielding capabilities are really weak. Maybe I might think of some nice feature for it. For instance when the brain-transport units will be introduced, you could hide in the box and the robot would come to pick you up and move you to the enemy's storage room without even knowing that its carrying an enemy right into the base.
Also it would also make the enemy and friendly AI ignore you so you can sneak past anything you want.

The jump was intended like that, its as if he lifts dust as he jumps, I guess smaller smoke balls on a wider radius could make it look better. I'll see what I can do for that.

Just hit the body change key and switch back to snake; even if you dont have another actor.

Updated btw, no sounds yet, but the Famas is now much satisfying and resembles like the original one. Socom has been slimmed up too and some power tweaks were made to the guns. Cbox has an awesome new sprite and even gibs!

I'll try Azukkis sounds later today and also try ripping some sounds from the original game... I hope it had a sound test. : x
