Post Shockwave cannon
Well, it's been some time since I started making mods for CC, and so I decided that it was time for me to show at least one to the world. "A gun that shot several killer eletric beams at the enemies would be great!"
That's what I thought.
After a couple of hours fighting with the computer, I gave up that idea, and started altering all the variables I found in the .ini file to any random value that came to my mind.
Unbelievably enough, the final result did work.
So, I present you the Shockwave Cannon!
It shoots an invisible shockwave that, well, cuts anything it touches into a thousand little pieces, and pierces concrete as if it was paper.
Images explain better, so drag down to see a couple of them.

OBS: My sprites are utter junk. I don't know how to make better sprites, and I fear that I never will. But hey, a ugly gun that works is better than a pretty one that does nothing.

OBS2: Don't shoot at anything too close to yourself, unless you like to have your head AND your legs cut off at the same time.

OBS3: I'm open to constructive criticism, but I fear I will may not have time to upgrade this gun.

So, it's uh, an overpowered single weapon.

who would want a poorly spirited over powered gun? i have a feeling you made your gun shoot invisible bullets cause you were too lazy to make bullet sprites and a firing animation.

This is is an example of a mod better gone unreleased. Why?

1. Even though it was great learning and perhaps even fun for you, most of the people that you are releasing it to really already know how to make something like this.

2. There's a thread for these little projects: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11394

3. There's no such thing as You'll rarely get much constructive criticism on the internet. Mean people will tell you that your mod sucks. Other people will tell you nicely that your mod sucks.

I always like this kind of weapon, the kind that pulls dirt around, but my problem is my computer doesn't compute fast enough. No dl from me, not because it's a bad idea, but because it looks like it would lag like a mofo

So it's a wide-arc version of Electroclan's ancient (kick-ass) Tesla cannon, only without the spiffy effects?

I think I'll pass on this one, but keep experimenting.

I'm sorry, but did you just say bullet sprites?

Roffle. Seriously. Are you serious? >_>

But from what i could gather from the description (I'm still a little sleepy),
it's mostly just a gun that shoots a wide fan of invisible raep-bullets.
I know that overpowered weapons can be fun at times (Not for everyone, mind you),
but, i'm sorry to put it like this, this one is seems to be a bit stereotypical.
I'm going to try it anyways, so i'll be back later with more useful information.

I think that threads like this should be split and merged into Minor Mod Compendium

All in favor?

I vote for that. Though the weapon is a bit more advanced than
i initially thought, and that it looks pretty fun with the vaporized
terrain, i'm not sure if it's good enough as a stand-alone mod.
Also, the lag is pretty intense, and as you've stated yourself, the
sprite isn't good. A little shading would be in place.
Another thing worth noting is that the sound effect pierces my
eardrums, and it lingers a lot longer than it should.
But overall i'm positively aligned :)
