"I don't think it conveys what I mean, but... Isabelle, thank you. This is amazing. How long have you been planning this?"

Bezel: "Since you left? A bit of a crunch, but it turned out alright I think."

Where did you even learn to make a watch?"

Bezel: "It's what I used to do, before I left home. My family's famous for jewlery, but there were a lot of us who couldn't put out the right colors and whatever, so we were delegated to other things. I was good at small precise bits, so, watches."

She leans against you, resting her head on your shoulder.

Bezel: "Mm, this is fine."

The car arrives in front of a large restaurant front - beautiful stone masonry, and large windows to show the expansive dining area inside.

Stepping out of the car with Bezel, the two of you head in and are quickly seated at a small round table with a white tablecloth, and provided with menus and water by a gentleman in a suit.

The two of you are the only patrons at the moment, and probably for the rest of the night.

Bezel: "They're open pretty much everyday, for people who want fancy food on special days."

The both of you flip through your menus -

Steaks, roasts, seafood, soups, pasta, as well as more unusual things like frog legs, turtle, snake, and even chirop-inspired cuisine. A little something for everyone!

Bezel: "Don't think I've had frog before. Or snake."

Not sure if I want some good steak, or a new variety of exotic meat. Snake sounds interesting."

In a short amount of time, the both of you have salad appetizers in front of you, to keep you occupied while your main dishes are prepared.

"Hide from the Daeli.

Aside from surviving vengeful attempts on my life, not sure. Honestly if I manage to reach that sort of level, the "Travel the world and find new exciting things to see and people to meet" option starts being appealing, unless I find another grand purpose to tie me down. It's certainly a good way to do archaeology. Hell, maybe just dig up old ruins without having to live in fear of manticores.
Or, maybe go after some other long lost secrets? That old slippery computer thing you mentioned, or runic magic. Maybe catalog odd magic around the world. I would absolutely love a compendium of the stranger things magic can come up with, like the proto-Captivate stuff just for example."

Bezel: "Hiding from the Daeli would probably be easier now that most of them are gone.

Are you interested in modern magic research, or more of digging up old stuff? Artificial Spirit construction is being done in Ossolen, I've heard Liam looking around there for possible research partnerships. With the direction our leads are taking us, it seems that's going to be a likely outcome."
